# Quaterna

> A free, independent four-letter personality type test at https://quaterna.skillsafe.ai/ — quick (24 items, ~3 min) or full (48 items, ~6 min). Runs entirely in the browser: no AI model, no credits, no sign-up. Signing in is optional and only saves reports to the visitor's SkillSafe account.

## What you get

- The four-letter type (E/I, S/N, T/F, J/P), one of 16
- Percentage and clarity band (slight, moderate, clear, very clear) for each preference
- "Close calls": neighbouring types for any letter that was not decisive
- A profile for each of the 16 types: overview, strengths, blind spots, at work, in relationships, room to grow
- The Jungian cognitive function stack (dominant, auxiliary, tertiary, inferior)

## Method

- Its own 48 statements, written for this app, on a five-point agreement scale
- Every dimension has equal numbers of items keyed toward each pole, so acquiescent answering does not produce a type
- Axis score = mean signed agreement, scaled to -100..+100; percentage = 50 + |score| / 2
- An exact tie is assigned I, N, F or P by convention and flagged in the report
- At least half the items on every dimension must be answered before a type is given
